Join us on Sundays for online worship! Get comfortable in your favorite chair with your coffee and juice. You can even attend in your PJs.
For those who are unable to attend worship or are uncomfortable meeting together, we will live stream the service on YouTube . You may either watch the service live at 10:30 A.M. or later at your convenience. We will no longer broadcast the service on Zoom. If you attend worship in the sanctuary, we project the entire liturgy on the wall behind the piano. Announcements are sent out every week via email on Thursday with worship links as well as information not only about Sunday but upcoming events in the life of the church. If you would like to be added to our mail list, Contact Us.
Would you like the prepackaged communion elements to use at home the second Sunday of the month and for special worship services? Pick up a supply at church; ask a Worship Team member; or Contact Us.
Please Note: Outdoor worship services are not live-streamed . Watch for announcements.
What We Believe
Too often Christians choose a church based on the physical features of the building, the charisma of the preaching staff, the number of children’s programs, or the music sung. Although these characteristics are worthy considerations, the theological foundations of what that church or denomination professes should be primary considerations in choosing a church. Do you believe what you are hearing being preached and do you want your children to learn these beliefs? Sometimes this takes multiple visits to a church and some online research about the denomination to gain a better sense of whether a church is a good match for you and your family. As Reformed Christians, we believe Christian worship is all about God.
White Lick is part of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. which is part of the reformed tradition of churches that birthed during the Reformation period following Martin Luther’s break with the Roman Catholic Church. Some 20 years later, a French/Swiss theologian, John Calvin, refined the reformers’ new way of thinking about the nature of God and God’s relationship with humanity in what came to be known as Reformed theology. The Presbyterian church traces its ancestry back primarily to Scotland and England. The name Presbyterian comes from the Greek term in the New Testament for elder, presbuteros. One of the main differences in Presbyterian churches is their form of government where leadership is shared equally amongst the clergy and the membership. For more details, you are invited to explore the What we believe section.
Here at White Lick, we welcome you where you are in your belief system and hope that you will continue to grow in spiritual maturity through your participation in worship, Christian education, and service. Presbyterians frequently say “Reformed and always Reforming” which means as we gain further understanding of who God continually reveals God to be, is timeless and yet timely for the challenges we face today.
